Having a Lubay piece repaired

Each Lubay piece is designed and made with care in our studio workshop in Belgium.
Created to accompany everyday life, it may, over time, require an adjustment or technical intervention.

We offer a repair service for Lubay pieces, as a natural extension of their design and fabrication.

When a repair is possible

Certain interventions may be considered when the repair concerns the construction or technical assembly of the bag, such as:

• stitching to be adjusted,

• strap or handle requiring attention,

• an element to be secured or reinforced.

Each request is assessed on a case-by-case basis, with the same precision applied during the original fabrication.

About wear and materials

Like any object that is worn and used, a bag evolves over time.
Some signs of wear or material change are part of its life.

​

Lubay works with innovative vegan materials and components sourced from selected European partners.
We do not manufacture these materials ourselves, and some references (materials, colours, components) may no longer be available over time.

​

In such cases, restoring a piece identically or intervening on material ageing may not be technically possible.

If a repair cannot be carried out, we will explain this clearly and transparently.

How it works

1. Contact us first
   Reach out via the form below or by email at soho@lubay.be, describing the situation and, if possible, attaching photos.

2. Assessment
   We review your request and let you know whether a repair is possible and under which conditions.

3. Sending or dropping off your piece
   If the repair can proceed, we will provide a shipping label.
   You may either drop off your piece at the studio or send it by post.

4. Timeframe
   Repairs usually require 4 to 6 weeks from the moment the piece is received at the workshop.

5. Return
   Once repaired, your piece is returned to you, ready for continued use.

Service conditions

Repairs are currently handled at no cost.
Shipping to our workshop and return shipping are also covered.

This service applies exclusively to Lubay pieces.

What the repair service does not cover

The repair service does not apply to:

• damage caused by inappropriate or excessive use,

• machine washing or unsuitable treatments,

• alterations carried out outside the Lubay studio,

• natural wear of certain materials when no technical intervention is possible.
