16. Can all vegan bags from Lubay also be worn crossbody?
At Lubay, yes. All are designed for shoulder and crossbody wear. Some are strictly crossbody (without handles).
MATERIALS & PRODUCTION
17. What is a next-gen vegan material?
Next-gen (next-generation) materials: high-performance alternatives that replace animal-derived components (leather, fur) by upcycling agricultural by-products (apple, grape, etc.). Unlike traditional "faux leather", these innovations aim for superior quality, high durability, and reduced environmental impact. They generally use synthetic polymers, thereby reducing overall reliance on purely petrochemical resources.
18. What is the difference between "vegan leather" and "next-gen vegan material"?
"Vegan leather" is an inaccurate assimilation. The materials used by Lubay, LEAP® and Grape Skin®, are not leather substitutes: they are standalone materials with their own properties, origin, and production.
19. Which vegan materials does Lubay use?
LEAP® (apple-based, Denmark/Germany) and Grape Skin® (grape-based, Italy). Next-gen vegan materials produced in the European Union.
20. Are Lubay bags 100% vegan?
Yes, since day one. No animal-derived components.
21. Where are Lubay bags made?
Designed and produced in Belgium, at our studio-atelier in Baillamont.

Yes. LEAP® is designed in Denmark and manufactured in Germany; Grape Skin® is manufactured in Italy.

25. Does Lubay ship to the United States and the EU?
Yes. EU + USA (for the USA: shipping, duties, and taxes included).
26. What are the delivery times for the EU and the USA?
3–7 business days for the EU, 7–14 days for the USA.
27. How do returns work at Lubay?
After receiving your order, you have 14 days, provided the item is intact in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are covered by the customer unless defective.
28. Does Lubay offer bag repair services?
Yes. Repair is possible.
29. Can I visit the Lubay studio-atelier?
Yes, by appointment only, in Baillamont (Belgium).
