  • HOW LONG DO YOU TAKE TO SHIP MY PARCEL?
    Lubay makes every effort to ship your package within two working days (excluding weekends and Belgian public holidays) of receiving your payment. But it is sometimes possible that it takes longer: for a delivery in Belgium, we make every effort to ensure that the order is sent to the delivery address within a maximum of thirty working days following the validation of the order and receipt of payment. And within a maximum of 45 days for neighboring countries, following validation of the order. The terms of delivery will be specific to the postal services of the country concerned. The shipping costs charged for orders depend on the delivery method chosen and are clearly stipulated at the time of purchase.
  • DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?
    Yes, of course!   • RÉPAREZ-VOUS LES ARTICLES LUBAY?
    Nos pièces sont conçues pour vous accompagner longtemps, c'est pourquoi nous garantissons tout ce que nous fabriquons. Si votre pièce LUBAY a besoin d'une réparation (une anse qui s'abime, une couture qui se détache, etc.), nous sommes là pour vous. ​ Comment faire? Contactez Soho (soho(@)lubay.be) pour expliquer le problème que vous rencontrez. Vous pouvez soit déposer votre LUBAY à l'atelier ou nous l'expédier par la poste. Ensuite, votre pièce sera réparée dans un délai de 2 à 4 semaines à partir du moment où nous l'avons reçue. Lorsque la réparation est terminée, nous vous expédions la pièce. Nous vous demandons juste de prendre en charge les frais d'expédition de chez vous à chez nous, nous prenons en charge les frais de réparation et les frais de retour de l'atelier à chez vous. ​ Par contre, nous ne sommes pas responsables de la mauvaise utilisation d'un article, comme par exemple un lavage en machine lorsque cela est interdit, un passage au sèche-linge, un poids excessif mis dans certains sacs, etc.
  • COMMENT PRENDRE SOIN D'UNE PIÈCE EN GRAPE SKIN - VEGEA®?
    Notre fournisseur, le fabricant de la matière première Grape Skin - VEGEA® conseille d’appliquer un voile d’imperméabilisant éco sans huile ou graisse, une fois par an afin de la protéger des tâches. En cas de tâche, l’entretien est très simple: utilisez un chiffon doux imbibé d’eau, essorez-le bien et passez le ensuite délicatement sur la surface tâchée et tamponnez ensuite avec un chiffon doux sec si besoin. Et voilà! Le Grape Skin peut être nettoyé avec de l’eau et du savon doux naturel au PH neutre si besoin. Cependant, veillez à ne jamais utiliser d’eau de javel, d’alcool ou d’éponge abrasive. À ne jamais le blanchir, nettoyer à sec, repasser, nettoyer en machine, sécher au sèche-linge, sur un radiateur ou au soleil direct. Toujours laisser sécher au sec, à l’air libre et à l’abri du soleil direct. Comme toute pièce de maroquinerie confectionnée individuellement à la main, elle est à traiter avec soin, il ne faut ni la frotter sur des surfaces abrasives, ni la surcharger, etc.
  • HOW TO CARE FOR A CORK ITEM?
    Cork cannot be bleached, dry cleaned, ironed, machine cleaned, tumble dried, on a radiator, with a hair dryer or in direct sunlight. Any stains should be cleaned with a soft cloth moistened with a little warm water and mild natural soap by gently rubbing the area. Then, pass a soft cloth dampened without soap, then a soft dry cloth and let dry naturally in the open air in a dry place. It is advisable to apply a very light quantity of specific colorless natural vegetable wax in order to nourish and protect it (on a clean surface and then leaving to dry for 24 hours). Like any piece of individually handcrafted leather goods, this item should be treated with care, it should not be rubbed on rough surfaces or overloaded.
  • HOW TO CARE FOR A PIÑATEX ITEM?
    It is forbidden to bleach the Piñatex, dry clean it, iron it, machine clean it, dry it in the dryer, on a radiator, with a hair dryer or in direct sunlight. It is water resistant but Ananas Anam (producer of Piñatex) recommends the application of a waterproofing spray. Also according to Pineapple Anam, any stains should be cleaned using a soft cloth dampened with a little warm water and mild natural soap by gently rubbing the area. Next, wipe with a soft damp cloth without soap, then wipe with a soft, dry cloth and allow to air dry naturally in a dry place. It is also advisable to apply a very light quantity of colorless natural vegetable wax, specific to textiles, to protect it and give it a patina (on a clean, dry surface and leaving to dry for 24 hours). Like any piece of individually handcrafted leather goods, this item should be treated with care, it should not be rubbed on rough surfaces or overloaded.
  • HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY LUBAY BAG?
    All Lubay creations are sewn meticulously by hand. As these are not mass-produced items, we advise you to take great care with them: - Don't overload your bag or pocket. - If your item contains faux leather, never machine wash, tumble dry, or use a hair dryer to dry faster if it gets wet. - Never let your bag or pouch dry in direct sunlight or on a heater. - Never use a hair dryer or dryer to dry your Lubay item. - Gently clean your bag or pouch with a slightly damp cloth and allow the item to air dry afterwards. - Only our bags or pouches whose exterior and interior are 100% cotton can be machine washed at a maximum of 30 degrees but do not use the dryer afterwards, let the item dry in the outdoors. - Lubay cannot be held responsible for misuse of its creations.
  • BY WHOM ARE THE BAGS SEWN?
    My name is Soho and I design and sew your bags. I am 35 years old, I was born in the Philippines and was adopted in Belgium. I studied philosophy at UCL and then became a teacher. Then, for a little over ten years and until March 2020, I was a touring musician and organized tours for other projects as well. I dreamed of launching a project of hand-sewn bags in Belgium, without animal suffering (I have been vegan for more or less 10 years) but the life of touring made it very difficult to set up. When March 2020 and the impossibility of going on tour arrived, we had to reinvent ourselves: the time to seriously work on this bag project had come. And that's how the energy and creativity inherent in the profession of musician was transferred to Lubay, thus opening a whole new chapter, without regret and with great enthusiasm and passion.

    The workshop is located in Bièvre, a small village in the south of the province of Namur.
